Stanlake Park in Twyford, Berkshire, is a working vineyard, wine bar, wedding venue and provider of holiday accommodation set within 130 acres of surrounding grounds.

We've been producing wine using our own grapes since 1979. Our range includes traditional method sparkling white and rosé, and a great variety of still whites, reds and rosé.

We have a very busy Wine Bar & Cellar Shop, run Wine Tours & Tastings every weekend, organise events and host around 100 weddings per year.

We are a small, passionate and very hardworking team performing a range of tasks, and we are always happy to hear from enthusiastic, committed and friendly people.

Winery & Vineyard Operative - Full-time

Stanlake Park winery and vineyard team is looking for a full-time Vineyard & Winery Operative, starting ASAP.


Duties include both mechanical and manual operations and will cover the broad spectrum of vineyard and winery work on the estate.


The work in the cellar includes all sorts of manual labour – such as dragging hoses, pumping over, transferring juice or wine from one tank to another, cleaning (tanks, floors, bins, surfaces etc), bottling, disgorging, labelling, moving boxes of wine, operating machinery and moving heavy items.


In the vineyard, the role involves assisting with pruning, bud and shoot removal, leaf removal, harvest, trellis maintenance, spraying, maintenance of grass areas, use of hand tools such as strimmers, trimmers etc and in general canopy maintenance.


Full training will be provided. Depending on the task, you might be required to work independently or as part of the team.



  • Hard-working, physically fit and able to lift 25kg
  • Happy to work indoors and outdoors (even with bad weather)
  • Reliable, honest and responsible, with the willingness to commit with a small team
  • Communication skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently


  • Experience in agriculture, outdoor work or food processing industry
  • Wine qualifications or at least interest in wine
  • Live locally
